The space where the life force is stored is like a kunda, a pool near the sex center; that is why the energy is known as kundalini, as if it is a kunda or pool of water. Another reason it is called kundalini is that it looks like a snake coiled and sleeping. If you have seen a sleeping serpent you know how it lies coiled-up, with its hood on top. But if you disturb the sleeping serpent it will wake up, uncoil and raise its hood up. This energy is also called kundalini because the pool of life force, or the seed of life, is precisely located near the sex center. It is from here that life expands in all directions.
METHOD
Shaking to Rebirth lasts 55 minutes and has six stages. This is a music-driven experience. There are some stages conducted with music and others stages that alternate without music. It’s preferable to stand up through all of the stages except the last one. If you have any impediment that doesn’t allow you to stand up for a long period, you can choose to sit down with your spine straight throughout the stages where there is no shaking involved.
First Stage – SHAKING (Duration: 10 minutes)
The shaking must not become an exercise. You can start by initiating it, but allow the subtle shake to rise from within. You are looking for the inner shake—that is where the real work begins.
Look inside for the part of you that is vibrating. When you find it, allow it to grow until it becomes bigger and bigger—one huge shake within you. Your feet must remain firm on the floor, with minimal movement during this stage. Let the shake happen in every part of your body, until you’re no longer doing the shaking—you’ve become the shake.
Second Stage – STOP (Duration: 5 minutes)

Fourth Stage – STOP (Duration: 5 minutes)
Stop and simply observe. Watch what is happening in the body. Be a witness to whatever arises, inside and out. Your spine should remain straight, whether sitting or standing.
Allow the music to reach and resonate with different parts of your body. Witness the physical sensations. Don’t move. Just listen and watch.
Fifth Stage – SHAKING (Duration: 10 minutes)
Begin shaking once more. Feel the energy moving up from your feet again. Shake your head, your eyeballs, your neck (where much tension is stored), your chest. Shake out the pain, the grief, the anxiety. Shake it all out.
Shake, shake, shake.
Sixth Stage – SIT & WITNESS (Duration: 15 minutes)
Keep your eyes closed. Sit down in a meditative position with your spine straight. You may also choose to lie down. Be perfectly still.
Relax, observe, and simply witness whatever arises.
WHEN, HOW, WHERE
Use the same time of each day to practice this meditation. You are showing your body a new routine, and after a few days of practicing the meditation at the same time, your body will support you in going deeper. You can use any time of the day for this meditation; just keep it regular.
The music has been especially composed to support you in each stage and take you to those places only music can. I have also given the tones specific downloads to magnify the scope of this meditation. You can also choose to do the meditation without music and go through each process with a timer.
You can use your blindfold to enhance the experience.
Choose a place where you can be alone for the full hour. Disconnect your phone. Go to the bathroom beforehand so that you can go through the whole hour without stopping. Allow yourself the time to go deep in-
side. This time is for you!
